I have begun making chow for Biggie and it occurs to me that one should find out as much as possible about the correct dietary needs of the animal....well in doing so I find a lot of contradictory information in regards to a dogs diet. 

Making food for my pup isn't really about saving money, though that would be nice, so much as providing a better choice of meals and kibble for her.  Does anyone have a good source of nutritional needs and hazardous foods for dogs?  Any comments would be greatly appreciated with any links as well.

One observation is that as I prepare her foods the volume of food has gone down a bit.
