Neshobe the Great Dane - 10/5/11

Neshobe the Senior Great Dane is home for good with foster mom turned forever mom, Marissa, in Englewood, Colorado. This poor boy has had quite the journey from a neglectful existence in Texas where he was left abandoned when his owner died to his adventures of being lost in the woods in Colorado for 20 days despite the incredible efforts of our search and rescue team! He never gave up and proved to be incredibly brave and resourceful as he survived in hopes that he would see his mom again. The reunion was so joyful that it was clear to us all that he wouldn't be going anywhere else ever again. His canine sisters, Ava and Chloe the Golden Retrievers, were equally excited to welcome him home and did a happy dance as he walked in the house and reclaimed his spot on the couch. As a fellow volunteer with incredible giant breed experience, we know that Neshobe will receive nothing but the best of care for however long he has left, which we hope is years to come! His story has touched us all and he is a wonderful ambassador for our cause.
