Luca the Great Dane has been officially adopted by her foster family, Geri & Terry, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The day of Luca's arrival, her parents had to say goodbye to their beloved senior Dane, Aaliyah. The timing was obviously meant to be and she has helped them through their loss and given them something wonderful to focus on instead! Her brother, Boscoe, the Great Dane was also adopted from BDHPI, and as volunteers for the organization, they are well equipped to help rehabilitate this shy and fearful girl to help her overcome her past abuse! Within days Luca's tail was no longer tucked, she was playing with Boscoe and their Lab mix, Maddie, and she quickly warmed up to both adults in the home and their visiting daughters. It didn't take long for them to fall in love and know that this sweet girl wasn't going anywhere!
