Spike is a 3 year old, White, male Great Pyrenees. He spent his prior life neglected, outside in a pen, unsocialized, and used for breeding purposes. He was painfully shy when he first came into rescue and while still somewhat fearful with new things, he he has come a long ways! Spike has finally settled into his new life as part of a loving home and gained enough confidence that he has found his bark. He is a great alert dog but will also stop barking if you let him know it is okay and tell him to hush. He loves to destroy stuffed animals and will carry them around with him. Spike is great with other dogs and cats and would prefer a new home with doggie friends since he tends to look to them for assurance with the unfamiliar. He is house trained, crate trained, trustworthy with free roam, great on leash, and his foster family is helping him to gain confidence everday. He is responds very well to lots of encouragement and positive reinforcement. Spike is a true lover boy who doesn't have a mean bone in his body!
