"The finest steel has to go through the hottest fire." Meet Nixon, he is a 3 year old Mantle Dane who has come to us with some medical issues that we are bound and determined to solve for him and get him healthy and on his way to his forever family. Nixon has wobblers disease and while his owner's were told previously he didn't need surgery, we are going to get a second opinion and make sure we are doing everything possible to ensure quality of life. He is very thin now right now but his foster family will be getting him fattened up in no time. He would do best in a ranch style home without a lot of stairs. Nixon is house trained and crate trained and this silly boy needs to be crated because he will sometimes pick up things on the floor and eat them when left to his own puppy devices. He knows how to sit, kennel up, lay down and go to bed. He is definitely an indoor dog who enjoys his couch time and his meatball treats and time with his people, he loves to play but not a huge fan of toys. This handsome boy is a total sweet heart and while he is loosing his current home due to some financial and health issues, he is ready to move on to the next stage of his life and find his forever family.
Nixon underweight surgery for Wobblers on 11/9/16 and is currently recovering. He should be ready for his new family soon!
