Mayly - Great Dane - PERMANENT FOSTER

Meet Mayly...she is a very beautiful, 4 year old, mantle Great Dane who is ready to move on to bigger and better things. She is in rough shape with quite a bit of arthritis form a hard life up until now but it will be cushy dog beds from now on for this girl! Sweet Mayly was given up by her owner who had way too many dogs. Likely due to lack of socialization around people, she is extremely shy and fearful and would do best in a more quiet home without young children or lots of visitors. She relates much better to other dogs and would likely do best with another non-dominant doggie companion who she could follow and rely on. She is unknown with cats but we can test her if necessary. While Mayly has lived previously both indoors and outdoors, she will strictly be an indoor princess from now on and we know she will be enjoying all the perks that come along with the treatment. She is house trained, trustworthy with free roam, pretty good on leash, and her foster family is working on building trust first and foremost. She suffered some sort of trauma to her right eye which has left her blind in that eye but it doesn't seem to affect her much. Mayly also has degenerative joint disease in her knees and hips but daily pain medication and joint supplements are working wonders on her to keep her comfortable. She is even starting to show her playful side. The ideal home for her would be one with limited stairs, although through an anti-inflammatory and proper exercise, she is gaining strength daily.
