Meet Kia! This adorable 11 year old, black, female Great Dane was the unsuspecting victim of a divorce. After the breakup, Kia had nowhere to go, so Big Dogs is helping her find a comfortable and happy home where she can live out her retirement years. As to be expected of a dog with plenty of life experience under her collar, Kia has some mild arthritis and isn’t very tolerant of bothersome puppies but she does great with other mature, submissive doggie companions and doesn't seem to mind big or small dogs one bit. This experienced girl is well versed with the courtesies of a lady. She is house trained, leash trained, knows sit, lay down, and shake. Kia is an inside dog and can be completely trusted with free roam. She isn’t a destructive chewer, but does like to nibble on bones, beef jerky, and canned food as a special treat. True to the breed, this mellow and loving pup enjoys the comforts of a cozy couch, being around her person, and going for a ride in the car. Kia is super smart and an incredibly loving, affectionate girl who will make some family very happy!
