Haley is a 3.5 year old, White, female Great Pyrenees. Her prior life was one of neglect, outside in a pen with limited human interaction, so she was very happy to find BDHPI and put that chapter of her life behind her. She was pretty shy with strangers when she arrived but has come a long ways and is quite the social butterfly now. Treats are the way to her heart and she is now house trained, crate trained, trustworthy with free roam, great on leash and she knows come, leave it, no, and is learning shake. Haley gets along well with other dogs and cats and has a wonderful temperament. She is quite a character and a little hard to get up in the morning because she loves her beauty sleep. All it takes is lots of "good girls" and positive reinforcement and she'll try almost anything including car rides, stairs, grooming etc. Haley is quite the snuggler and loves attention so much that she'll qive you a gentle paw reminder that she needs some lovin. She is a great watch dog when someone or something (spring bear) is outside and she will alert you, but she does listen when you tell her its okay. She is so incredibly sweet you can't help but want to give her lots of hugs and kisses!
