Dante, is a 5-6 year old, black, male Great Dane who is coming to us from a shelter where he was surrendered along with another Great Dane named Dax. You see Dante and his brother had been locked outside, neglected, starved (he was 40 lbs underweight upon arrival) and left to live with a pig, horse, donkey and chickens. He did so without issue for several months until an incident where they had an altercation with the mini pig. We understand and we promise him that he will no longer go hungry, left alone in the elements, or forgotten about. Dante, from here on out, will receive all the love, medical attention, nutritious meals, snacks, toys and scratches that his big heart desires! He is a super sweet boy who is good with other dogs and cats...although smaller livestock is not recommended. Dante is house trained, crate trained, trustworthy with free roam, and he knows sit. He walks best with a gentle leader and is very playful with the other dogs in his foster home despite his grey muzzle. He is loving his new life, very eager to please, and a fast learner.
