Dante is a 3.5 year old, Black, 130 lb, male Great Dane. His first 2 years of his life were spent in an abusive home and his most recent family loved him very much but were no longer able to care for him. He is house trained, crate trained, trustworthy with free roam and knows his basic commands although he does respond best to a strong leader. Dante is allowed on his own chair and the bed but stays off all other furniture and he is not a barker or destructive in any way. He is a healthy boy other than needing inexpensive daily thyroid medicine. He loves to lean and is pretty sure he is a lap dog! Dante craves lots of love and attention and needs a home without any small animals, but he does well with most larger dogs with proper introductions. He is great with people of all kinds and ages, but he doesn't understand how to be gentle in playing, so small children would be at risk of getting knocked over. He is an incredibly loving, loyal dog that can't wait to find his forever family!
