Dakota is going to be a big boy...at only 10 months old he already topping 100lbs...with such large paws to grow into we know this gentle giant is going to be, well, giant! Dakota was abandoned and picked up by animal control where he has been kept safe but the kennel environment isn't great for him, which we find for many of our giants, and so he is coming into our program where he can into a foster home that can work on his confidence levels. He passed his temperament test at the shelter with other dogs, both male and female; and is doing well with the other dogs in his foster home but he won't back down if challenged by small yappy dogs so probably best to avoid small companions. He prefers a home without cats as well Dakota appears to be head shy and can be a little fearful - but not that he's in a home environment he is starting to come out of his shell and show his goofy, playful, fun-loving side. He is house trained, trustworthy with free roam, leash trained, and knows sit and down. He would do okay with older kids but infants make him nervous. Fear not sweet boy you will not have to worry anymore and BDHPI is here to find your perfect forever home!
